Hear that thunder rolling till it seems to split the sky? That's every ship in Grayson's Navy taking up the cry- NO QUARTER!!! -- "No Quarter", by Echo's Children - Foxboy - 02-25-2009 Neptune is Esmerelda from Hunchback of Notre Dame, and I can't place Uranus either. ''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll - Herr Bad Moon - 02-26-2009 Girl from The Black Cauldron? --- Jon "And that must have caused my dad's brain to break in half, replaced by a purely mechanical engine of revenge!" - Norgarth - 02-26-2009 No, I believe the girl from Black Cauldron was brown haired (in the movie at least, IIRC, in the books she was a blonde). Part of the problem is that I don't recall many Disney girls with short blonde hair. Cinderella, Alice, and Aurora all had fairly long hair, Plus I think Venus is supposed to be Aurora (from Sleeping Beauty). ___________________________ "I've always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific." - George Carlin - Feinan - 02-26-2009 If we're going strictly through the 'Disney Princess' line, then Uranus is most likely Cinderella. While she probably does have longer hair than that, it's usually shown as pulled up on her head, so looks a lot shorter. The long-haired blond playing Venus would be Aurora. Neptune is the only character not played by one of the Princesses, since there are only eight of them currently; Esmeralda is actually not counted as part of the Princess group. So... Sailor Moon - Ariel Chibi-Usa - Snow White Sailor Mercury - Mulan Sailor Venus - Aurora Sailor Mars - Jasmine Sailor Jupiter - Belle Sailor Uranus - Cinderella Sailor Neptune - Esmeralda Sailor Pluto - Pocahontas Of course, this leaves out poor Sailor Saturn. However, there's a new Disney Princess debuting soon - Tiana, from The Princess and The Frog. She could always fill the role, I suppose. - Foxboy - 02-26-2009 Close. Chibi-usa is played by Ariel's daughter from the direct-to-video Little Mermaid II She has her father's hair. ''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll - Feinan - 02-27-2009 Huh. If that's the case, I wonder why they didn't slot Snow in as Saturn, then. Odd.... - Bob Schroeck - 02-27-2009 I was thinking the same thing... -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. |
