I take it you've never heard the old joke about the Notre Dame QB who got precognitive flashes...
Never heard that one, no...

Well, the punchline wouldn't be a surprise at this point, but he got nicknamed "Quasimodo" because he was the "hunch-back" of Notre Dame.

evangelion crossover with scott pilgrim vs. the world...
More or less Evangelion with a Scott pilgrim type plot mixed with the original Evangelin plot, pee bar, lives, and score included.
Cool! I get bucket loads of cash when I destroy my enemies? Awesome!
Or

I think someone already suggested that one.

I saw mention over on Usenet that http://www.siliconera.com/2011/05/13/at ... this-fall/]this particular game was coming to North America, and immediately thought "My Neighbor Totori"... (Because of what http://galensattic.nekomimicon.net/Atelier/meruru3.jpg]she looks like, obviously a rom-com...)

I guess that Buckaroo would be the cool uncle that sometimes comes over to visit?
It makes sense that he and Prof. Utonium would be related (cousins?). They are both doing SCIENCE!

And now why am I envisioning this hero-ing stuff as a meme that gets passed down from generation to generation.
Utonium + Banzi + [someone else] had all kinds of adventures in their youth, and now the Prof wants to make sure that his kids have the same kind of life enriching experiences (why else would he live in townsville).

... and I'll just stop now.

Sauron finally recovers the One Ring... but finds that it has been made a trap for him.  He and the ring are sent hurtling into another reality.  It is a world much like our own.  There are no orcish armies here, no trolls, no men that worship him, no Nazghuls... but he still has the One Ring, and it holds to its purpose.  Better still, the Nazghul may be gone, but this world *does* have a small group of humans who channel sorcerous power through magical rings - and the One Ring can ensnare them - indeed, enslave both them and the potent avatar they wield as a weapon.

And In the Darkness Bind Them

Crossover: Lord of the Rings/Captain Planet

You know... I figured it out as I read that. And... I kind of want to see this.

Shining FINGER!" -Domon Kashuu, Mobile Fighter G Gundam

- Necratoid - 05-16-2011

I think it'd make more sense to ensnare the evil Captain Pollution versions of the rings than the Gaia based one.  Seriously, the infrastructure of the crossover already exists in CP canon...

- Norgarth - 05-17-2011

This is Sauron, he'd want both Captains.

Which would be the crux of the story.  Sauron is all "WANT!!!"  Gaia is all "DO NOT WANT!!!"

- robkelk - 05-17-2011

Gaia's a LOLcat?

(This would explain much...)

Well if Ceiling Cat is the ruler and embodiment of the Heavens.  Basement Cat is ruler and embodiment of the under world... then logically the embodiment of the Earth must be something 'Cat' as well...  Window or Wall Cat I guess... so that would make Gaia what?  Sill CAt,, Couch Cat, Wallpaper Cat?

- WengFook - 05-18-2011

I offer up Tablecat, Floorcat, Doorcat and Curtaincat Tongue

Catpain planet?

Actually, a version of Captain planet where all characters were played by various LOLcats... Yeah.

Does that mean that Dr Tinycat is now from South America?

The Happy Fun Ball: Will it blend?

- The Wanderer - 05-19-2011

Ethan Rayne, faithful servant of chaos, gets significantly more ambitious when putting together his Hallowe'en-costume prank spell. Instead of invoking Janus, he goes all the way to the top and invokes Andor-Drakon.

This goes under "crossovers that should not be" because A: I'm not entirely sure what might happen as a result, B: the most plausible outcome is that Ethan gets squished for his presumption, and C: most of the rest of the plausible outcomes are No Fun For Anyone. (Except maybe Andor-Drakon.)

- Sirrocco - 05-19-2011

Hmm... First thought i'd have is that Rayne missed a bet on this one (kinda). Instead of having everyone turn into their costumes, it just exposes them to chaos taint (eventually giving almost everyone a mutation or two). Climactic end moment comes when the Scoobies bust into Ethan's lair... Ethan is at the altar... and Giles live-sacs him.

Problem is that it would have to be either a very short fic (Ethan says "Hi, Andor." Andor says *munch*. The end) or a rather long one (exploring the things that have been allowed into the Buffyverse as more and more of ADOM creeps into it.)

"Wow. I just killed a vampire... by throwing a rock at him."
