You can tell that the side of the mountain dropped on the road, which is where a lot of the plant matter comes from. But there are quite tall plants coming up from cracks in the road so it's been abandoned for at least a year, and possibly as much as five. I doubt it would have been abandoned much earlier than that or the road should be in even worse shape.
