tintin: they are skating VERY close to the uncanny valley. And I don't know why. The characters in the books were a little exaggerated, they could have carried that over and avoided the 'oh my god what is wrong with those people' mess that i think they are stepping into.

It may be a case of either Spielberg being influenced by Zemeckis' performance capture movies back when they looked viable or the studios not wanting more cartoony animation for a "serious" story.

And, well, hand drawn animation doesn't work with the practically-forced-on-all-new-movies 3D processes.

Huh. One could almost see the ghostly forms of the Mythbusters nodding in approval of the task and the presentation.

If only they could have gotten the Hyneman to do that.... The fans would have died laughing.

Okay. I want to see a video of an actual human being playing this thing.

- Foxboy - 05-26-2011

Uh. Kinda why I said it was impossible. The Composer intentionally made it impossible for anything but mechanical reproduction to play it.

I think those Celloists have been here before, possibly even in the initial thread.

Still here's another of their pieces

- Logan Darklighter - 05-26-2011

I have -never- to the best of my recollection, freaking HEAD-BOBBED to a cello video before now. That fucking ROCKS. ^_^

- Logan Darklighter - 05-26-2011

Ok. I actually came in to post something myself. And got sidetracked. Thanks Rod! Tongue

Yes, it's cliche to have Tomcats to "Mighty Wings". You know what? I DON'T CARE. It's just that cool. Besides, Cheap Trick is inherently cooler than Kenny Loggins any day. As good as Danger Zone is, I think Mighty Wings is the better dogfighting song. Here, have some choreographed Ace Combat 6 footage (that damn near looks real!) mixed with some classic 80s goodness. ^_^

probaly the best Black Lagoon AMV I've seen, but seeing it's BL, tad NSFW due to swearing and vilonce Tongue

I always wondered where the cool movie themes went - ordnance11 - 05-27-2011

Now I know...they went to games.

Ayep the cousin to the dreaded Wiki-walk, the Cool-tube-stumble. I'll just say this about that video, just were did they get the replay footage of my flights in Ace Combat from, mind you I've yet to try flying down the length of that bridge as I normally fly under and through it. Just not in a F-14, usually it's a F-4, F-22 or A-10. Yep, I'm crazy enough to dogfight in an A-10, but when you've got a gun the size of a VW Beetle why wouldn't ya attempt it.
