- robkelk - 01-06-2012 Could make Twi a "bridge bunny"... thus setting up the Rainbow/Pinkie/Twilight triangle to echo the original. -- Rob Kelk "Governments have no right to question the loyalty of those who oppose them. Adversaries remain citizens of the same state, common subjects of the same sovereign, servants of the same law." - Michael Ignatieff, addressing Stanford University in 2012 - Bluemage - 01-12-2012 Twilight would fit quite well as a bridge bunny/CAG type. Rarity is easy- who ELSE would take all that music, and build the movies/music videos around it? As for Fluttershy... I got nothing. My Unitarian Jihad Name is: Brother Atom Bomb of Courteous Debate. Get yours. I've been writing a bit. - classicdrogn - 01-12-2012 Fluttershy is the peace-loving civilian who joins up because what $enemy is doing is just UNacceptable. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - classicdrogn - 01-13-2012 Evangelion vs. Zombies - Gendo and SEELE had been racing to each try to get their apocalypse in first, sadly for both of them they don't quite manage to pull it off before the dead start rising from the grave... I had some ideas for a Nanoha cross but they've slipped away again. Probably something mecha-related since they came to me when I discovered pictures of her in Fortress Form. - CD -- "Anko, what you do in your free time is your own choice. Use it wisely. From NGE: Nobody Dies, by Gregg Landsman http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5579457/1/NGE_Nobody_Dies - SkyeFire - 01-14-2012 Must be. MUST be. DIRTY HARRY: TWILIGHT. After finally wiping out the ENTIRE criminal underworld of L.A. (again), Detective Harry Callahan LAPD, retires to a waterlogged town in Washington State that promises to be peaceful and quiet... until he discovers the disgustingly vapid, insipid, and just plain pansy-ass supernatural creatures hiding in plain sight there. These wannabe 'vamps' and 'weres' are just SO pathetic, they need to die just to bring up the tone of the local Underworld. Three words: Silver. Hollowpoint. .44s. - K sai - 01-14-2012 Quote:The Bork Identity.. A man wakes up in a strange place with no memories, a chef's hat, and a chicken on his head.. ...and his vocal cords have been operated on to prevent him from communicating with anyone from his previous life? - Bob Schroeck - 01-14-2012 The Bjork Identity -- an Icelandic pop singer whom no one understands wakes up one day and realizes that she is in fact an undercover espionage agent. Whom no one understands. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - ECSNorway - 01-14-2012 The Kyon Identity. -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - Sweno - 01-18-2012 ok, I missing the Bob Howard ref. there are far too many of them on google to figure out which one I'm supposed to know. -Terry ----- "so listen up boy, or pornography starring your mother will be the second worst thing to happen to you today" TF2: Spy - ECSNorway - 01-18-2012 Bob Oscar Frank Howard is the star of Charles Stross 'The Laundry Files'. He's basically an IT geek, a senior techie for the British secret service agency that handles Occult Weirdness. in a universe where Sufficiently Advanced Math literally -is- Magic, advanced computer software can summon Cthulhu. Or accidentally landscape Wolverhampton. A large part of Bob's job is maintaining the office's computer infrastructure, but he's also a qualified field agent and gets sent on several vital missions. For his other duties... at one point his supervisor calls him on the carpet for spending ten hours a week in his office playing computer games. Her complaint? He should be spending /more/ time on it. His current project at the time was testing the new MMORPG systems for potential occult misuse, and scouting for attempts at same. -- Sucrose Octanitrate. That's every ship in Grayson's Navy taking up the cry- NO QUARTER!!! -- "No Quarter", by Echo's Children - Ebony - 01-18-2012 Following the Stross thread, I can only think of the havoc that would arise if the Clan of Gruinmarkt found a knotwork pattern that went someplace like El-Hazard or the world of Escaflowne (I'd give the proper name, but Wikipedia is dark). At the very best, you'd have Miriam Beckstein, investigative reporter, causing all sorts of trouble. At worst, you'd have a collection of cutthroat capitalists that make Machiavelli look like a piker when it comes to plots and plans disrupting the local economy and politics. (This is from Stross' Merchant Princes series, for those unfamiliar. A clan of merchants from a parallel earth discover that they have a genetic trait that allows them to jump dimensions when focused on a knotwork pattern. They use it to profit extensively, both on Gruinmarkt and on Earth, until a lost member, Miriam Beckstein, discovers them and throws a monkey wrench or two into it.) Ebony the Black Dragon http://ebony14.livejournal.com "Good night, and may the Good Lord take a Viking to you." - Black Aeronaut - 01-18-2012 Bastard Operator From Hell comes to Haruhi-verse? God save us all. ;D - Necratoid - 01-19-2012 Sounds like the espers end up buying a country in Africa and deporting all the people that BOFH has managed to convince them are trying to tip her off to things. The entire marketing department is going to disappear or be deported/transferred on a weekly basis. All that money going that way is going to lead to fortress cities. Rich fortress cities... which means ones constantly under attack. So they keep making more buffer cities and end up with a tide of refugees flooding in. All this really takes is one student (and Kyon +interface) being dragged along ending up in the right American city. That and a bet on whether or not Africa can ever be civilized. - Jinx999 - 01-20-2012 James Herriot and Gerald Durrell. - GreggHL - 01-21-2012 If you play Saints Row the Third, and give the Boss the Female 1 voice, you have a character which has been referred to as "A particularly foul-mouthed Commander Shepard." What if this is a hint? What if the Boss is Shepard's Ancestor? What if, following the besting of the Reapers and the Pax Galactica, Jane Shepard finds out that she's the new leader of the now-interstellar Third Street Saints? - Ebony - 01-26-2012 CSI: Mega-City One Alternately ... Law & Order: Special Judges Unit (If 2000 A.D. hasn't done this already, I will be very surprised.)
