Cybertron Reloaded 6!
Welp. Looks like there's more Mass Effect influences leaking through.
Heh.

- Wiregeek - 03-15-2012

Cybertron Reloaded is like a three ounce steak - grilled to perfection, and too damn small.

No, I don't believe the world has gone mad.  In order for it to go mad it would need to have been sane at some point.

- Proginoskes - 03-29-2012

Many thanks!

- Wiregeek - 04-02-2012

sorry to get your hopes up, but no big update. Teen Titans Micro at http://www.eyrie-producti...ocs/DCForumID24/119.html , though.

I was wondering if anyone had a wordcount of /uf/* - I'm clean out of time for the weekend and I need a hammer to beat someone with. That hammer is the wordcount on Undocumented Features. (Symphony of the Sword was at 1.4 megawords when it went stagnant - I'm VERY curious as to what the entirety of UF is)

thanks in advance!

- khagler - 04-03-2012

Around 2004 I created a Tinderbox file with the stories as they existed at that point. Looking in the file, I see it has 3,164,881 words. Of course, that doesn't include anything more recent, so the real total would be even higher.

- Proginoskes - 04-04-2012

I'm surprised it's not significantly higher: with SotS at 1.4 megawords all on its own and several Golden Age and Exile projects of even greater conceptual scope (if less actual output), I would've thought the UF Grand Total was something around 5 megawords as a conservative estimate. Maybe 3 megawords for everything Gryph had a direct hand in, as opposed to those stories where his only contribution is continuity police-work.

- khagler - 04-04-2012

That was eight years ago. It probably is significantly higher by now.

- Wiregeek - 04-07-2012

OK, these are weird numbers.

a fresh Wget recursive no parent of www.eyrie.net/UF/ filtered *.txt ended up as 3.7 megawords (I love that word), and 23 megabytes.

I would of thought it was bigger.

It is, though I'm not sure how /much/.    The above filter will exclude all the mini stories and forum-post only additional materials.

- Wiregeek - 04-08-2012

I can't think of any sort of sane semi-automated way to add the forum-only stuff to the mix.

Also keep in mind that Gryphon has taken down a couple big stories that were invalidated by changes to the timeline as the stories progressed (Transformers Cybertron and the big 'Clarke lead Federation vs New Avalon and allies' story who's title I can never recall)

That's it.  I remember the 'Day of' part, but can never remember the word 'Infamy'. 8P
Anyways, those to stories were huge, I could certainly believe they were a megabyte each (or more).
