The Somewhat Cracked Mind of Uchiha Itachi is mostly-lighthearted ninja hijinx at its best, though there are also some intense fight scenes and a meaningful overall plot. Kisame being present from the first scene is a bit of a WTF but explained within a few chapters, and the events involved are the butterfly for this AU. It also front loads a fair bit of character development and keeps it going throughout, so events have kept moving without a timeskip to catch up training

So, Chengar Qordath has started the next story in his crossed Dresden Files/MLP continuity: Dresden Gets Schooled. It picks up after Cold Days on Dresden's side, and after the S3 finale on the ponies' side.
Edit:Tes Potter and the Meddling Old Man. It is only one chapter so far, but it looks like this is going to be a funny one.

That said, yes, if you can tolerate the above it is excellent. I gave up on it a year or so ago, because despite how well it is written and how deep the characters are I always felt upset and depressed after finishing a chapter.
