Well, it's not like you can get a new one to replace it.

I think I'm almost at the point where I want to go make a few test-drives. I know where to find a Ford dealer; I just have to pick a Mazda dealer from the yellow pages...

BIG thing - ask around about the experience people have had with various dealer groups.

We have a specific guy/family who currently runs a bunch (about 25%) of our dealerships, and a lot of people think he's shady. The running joke in the city is the new RCMP detachment being right across from his main office ISN'T a coincidence.

Logan - the new Mustang has more pep and better fuel economy, and it looks better.

Don't get me wrong. I love the new Mustang. Love the fact that they've gone even closer to the roots of the original design than the 90s Mustangs did. Etc.
But I was just going on about what I had personal experience with.
But oh god would I WANT to own one of the new ones - oh hell yes.

Yeah, my mid-life-crisis car will be a Mustang. Or a Charger.

- Sofaspud - 08-19-2010

I can't afford a mid-life crisis, but if I could, mine would be a DeLorean.  With a suitable replacement engine and gearbox, of course.  But still. Smile

You can drastically improve the performance of the DeLorean by letting the air out of the tires and removing the engine altogether, so that's not a very high bar...

I was thinking something along these lines, actually: http://www.zercustoms.com...Mazda-Rotary-Engine.html
Though I met a guy once who dropped an Acura NSX engine in his DeLorean.  Was very pretty vroomage.

Finishing off the thread, I just signed a contract to buy a Mazda 3. I pick it up on Thursday...

Congratulations. I believe my mother bought a Mazda 3 a few months ago. Nice interior, good handling, decent mileage and a lot of nice perks.
