- Foxboy - 12-05-2009 Cool! And in celebration, a fairly recent "Inu Yasha/Rinne" era Takahashi drawing of Lum! ![]() ''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll - Evil Midnight Lurker - 12-06-2009 Thanks! I'd just been wondering what the UY characters would look like as drawn by the Takahashi of today... --Sam "If that's art, then art is dirty and weird!" - Black Aeronaut - 12-06-2009 Cool! Her hair's a bit wilder looking in this modern version. Now if only she had made it in color. Ah well. - Foxboy - 12-06-2009 She probably did, but only the folks who got the limited edition of the new Urusei Yatsura collection (in Japan, circa... 2007?) got to see it in color. It's part of a feature in the new collection called "My Lum" which has several mangaka's interpretations of Lum. The first two were Takahashi herself and the lead character designer for the original Anime, There were pieces, IIRC, from the artist from Keroro Gunso/Sgt. Frog, and Ohta from Hellsing, amongst others.
