To be fair, the original two lines are a bit more garbled than usual even for anguish languish. Bluemage's reply actually relates to how I formulated it, though, so on the whole it's only a surprise it's not worse.
Edit: And if you look closely at this I practically give the game away on that, but he's been hinting wildly on mine too so I suppose it's fair.
