Intrigued by his description of the story, I downloaded it to my Kindle. It just came up in my queue this past week, and I just finished it half an hour ago; noting it was an unfinished story (as K Sai mentioned), I went back to FF.Net to see if it's been updated since -- only to find that the author has changed his name to "Deleted92" and removed all his stories.
I am deeply frustrated by this because it was a damned good story, and as of the last chapter I had the author was clearly still having fun, reveling in having over 1500 reviews, and showed no signs of suddenly vanishing from the fic scene. Grrr.

Yeah, pity that. This is hearsay, but it seems the author got a few bad reviews about his treatment of Snape, threw a hissy fit and took his ball home.

Delicate egos does seem to be a bit of an issue with some authors. A pity though.
