RE: Oddities spotted in the news - DHBirr - 09-15-2017 I laugh that I may not weep. The following comments were attached to a Washington Post article about Cassini's plunge into Saturn's atmosphere: Quote:vincepage at 11:54 AM EDT And Quote:Sherry Adams at 12:26 PM EDT How are people so stupid able to even breathe? ***** I'm a very forgiving person ... on Lord Vader's terms. "Apology accepted, Captain." RE: Oddities spotted in the news - hazard - 09-15-2017 Well, Sherry Adams is right that we can reach the moon... Although, NASA does have a camera filming the Earth 24/7, there's a live stream from the ISS. Judging by the tone of the rest of her diatribe, I suspect she meant to say "can't" rather than "can." She also denies that the ISS footage is real — Emperor help us, she even says there's no proof the stars are distant suns — so I don't think she'd believe livestreamed video either. According to the Tesla site, there's a phone app that should allow for it as well, but I have to say, not having a manual unlock for emergencies is probably one of the stupidest things I've encountered. Peggy and I had a chance to meet Penn and Teller, oh, about twenty years ago, I think, after a show they did at McCarter Theater in Princeton.
