Before all that, big shout out to Flameal15k and his fic, Welcome to Prehistoric Kingdom. More specifically, the chapter: Inside Their World 1. I was recommended to read it by SwapAUAnon since this chapter also tackles my first attempt with writing Xenofiction via Bond's POV. It definitely gave me a good idea on how to handle writing for animal characters, even uplifted ones like Bond.

I don't know if the quality is good. That's for you all to decide, but I think things turned out alright.

But first, Agent Nightfall's POV and the aftermath of last chapter. Definitely the hardest section for me to write. Seriously, I couldn't figure out how I wanted to handle that until I finished literally everything else in the chapter. Hope it's too your liking!

And yet, she felt no doubt, even as the blackness shrunk in and as the heat became enough to boil a mortal alive. Neither of them would be stopped by mere, unfocused ignorance and doubt. They emerged from the other side of the avalanche in an expanding ball of fire, casting off the shell of ash which had sought to choke them in a rippling ring.

Their destination loomed ahead.

I have to credit the DeviantArt artist Gugenheim98 for the artwork that inspired this chapter, their work is actually what convinced me to use the Monsterverse's underused Daikaiju in OtSoT!

It was really fun writing a chapter like this and seeding it with my many ideas for Destoroyah's teased role in this setting. Plus, it's also always interesting exploring the no-longer-in-a-Cold-War dynamic that the KDF and WTO find themselves in in this world where Kaiju take priority.
