I've to disagree with you on that. Sometimes the sky is white (cloudy no rain). Sometimes black with shiny lights (If there are no or few shiny lights on the ground) And grass can also be a somewhat brownish color. (water is a general need) ![]() naruto: possesed. It started well, but it's kinda devolving into a mary sue-ish mess, and the narrative voice is slipping more and more into bathos. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - jpub - 09-12-2008 Quote: Bob Schroeck wrote:Wow. While the vitriol spewed all over the landscape does greatly reduce my appreciation of recent chapters, the fic does have A LOT of interesting new ideas which are presented in such a way that they don't (usually) directly contradict canon. ---------------------------------------------------- "Anyone can be a winner if their definition of victory is flexible enough." - The DM of the Rings XXXV Quick reply is made of hate - Necratoid - 09-12-2008 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2947801/14/Girls_School For the fourth time, Girl's School has updated far, far sooner than I thought it would. - Bob Schroeck - 09-12-2008 Quote:While the vitriol spewed all over the landscape does greatly reduce my appreciation of recent chapters, the fic does have A LOT of interesting new ideas which are presented in such a way that they don't (usually) directly contradict canon. No vitriol from me. Just disappointment that it seems to be heading downhill. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - jpub - 09-13-2008 It is a pity. He reminds me of Skysaber, really. Fascinating idea, starts out great, and devolves into a disaster. - Shepherd - 09-13-2008 Quote: jpub wrote:I've actually wondered a few times if the guy IS Skysaber going under a different name. He is listed as one of Skysaber's three "Favorite Authors" on fanfiction.net and started writing aroud the same time that Skysaber briefly became active again. He also seems to react similarly to criticism. ---------------------------------------------------- "Anyone can be a winner if their definition of victory is flexible enough." - The DM of the Rings XXXV - VladimirTherin - 09-13-2008 I think you nailed it actually, sheperd. Comparing the start of "gilded life" and "partially kissed" shows a LOT of stylistic similarities. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3695419/1/My_Gilded_Life http://www.fanfiction.net...1/1/Partially_Kissed_Hero One is written in first person, and the other isn't, but other than that they do seem to have a lot of the same "voice". - Guilherme Loureiro - 09-13-2008 Quote: Shepherd wrote:He either is a close friend which shares the same biases(sp?) or is Skysaber himself. Neither of those options endear me to his fics. I managed to read three chapters of Partially Kissed Hero before I gave up. I want to read fanfiction, not a rant about the setting. - yesilmavi - 09-13-2008 What Shepard wondered, i thought as well. He could also be related (a brother or something). http://www.fanfiction.net.../27/Partially_Kissed_Hero ranma/xxxholic http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4366286/26/xXxRanma xander/addams/potter http://www.tenhawkpresent...=35&textsize=1&chapter=13 - Bob Schroeck - 09-13-2008 No, I think folks have it. It's almost certainly Skysaber. I was wondering what it was about his work that seemed so familiar... And the handle has that flamboyant self-aggrandizing Skysaber sound -- "Perfect Lionheart". ETA: I just took a quick look at his other recently-updated fic, "Hogwarts One Half". It's a straight adaptation of one of the "Rose At Hogwart's" spin off threads from the Anime Addventure. Which adds a little weight to the argument he's actually Skysaber. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - Evil Midnight Lurker - 09-13-2008 ...Well, at least two of those fics don't have Akane in them. ![]() --Sam "Now you're a tiny two-headed bluebird who can only speak high-school French!" - yesilmavi - 09-13-2008 potter: time http://www.fanfiction.net...nd_the_Wastelands_of_Time naruto: time http://www.fanfiction.net...490237/4/Doomed_to_Repeat |
