Especially after the first few chapters, for one thing it shows ninjas with actual brains. Not sure what you mean by the writing style thing though, it does
not look much different from 99% of the other stories I have read in the past

Technical quality is unfortunate, but even if you don't like first person stream of consciousness at all skip to 10 and read it, most of it is narrating
while watching Jiraya, Orochimaru, and Shinobi no Kami Sarutobi-sama fight.

We are going to have to disagree here. Ignoring the format... it just doesn't actually do much for me. I think the ones in Spying no Jutsu are better...
or the canon Naruto/Gaara fight from the exact same moment or the Battle of the End. Mostly it was lots of fire attack negating stuff and Orochimaru no
selling attacks.... and the ending makes no sense as Ero-senin in sage mode can own Kabuto for speed.

Eh, oh well. (I certainly won't argue against Spying No Jutsu!) Mayhap you'll like this one better - Food For Thought has excellent technical quality
and some less commonly seen spins, and even if it's only loosely pulling into a coherent overplot the trip has been fun too. ffn id 3962320

a crust of plot that keeps the whole in shape even if each slice only has a little, plenty of sticky lemon custard, and a sweet layer of wacky hijinks, honest
romantic moments, and action as whip cream on top. Note that login is required due to the rating, and even that index page is probably NSFW. That's right,
it's a lemon, and getting a plot based rec for competent but not uber 6th yr Harry.
