Lay's seems to be on a weird flavor kick again. Went shopping today, saw an 'IHOP Rooty Tooty Fresh 'N Fruity' flavor..Strawberry pancake with syrup and bacon. Didn't quite have the courage to get it to try, even though it was in the grab-bag size.

I've never seen any of these films, so I'm not sure whether crossing The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T, Manos: The Hands of Fate, and The Man with the Golden Arm is a Should Be or a Should Not Be...

So some of you might be familiar with "Scatman (ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop)" by Scatman John from the 1990s. I have it in my MP3 collection, and it came up in the shuffle for the first time in a couple months yesterday and got stuck in my head. Now, one of the most repeated bits in it is the line "I'm the Scatman"... and at some point this morning as I was getting ready for work, my brain swapped in Michael Keaton saying, "I'm the Batman" in the 1989 Batman movie instead. And now I want to completely rewrite and record the song to be a Batman filk...

Pretty sure I've seen that opener in an actual fic, though long enough ago I don't remember anything else save the vague impression it was on FFn and of FFn-average quality (ie 2-3/10.)

Must admit, I hadn't actually tried them. But some of the odder chip flavours I've tried rarely seem to work out.

When it comes to unusual flavours, step one for estimating if they are any good should be 'but does this flavour work with hot potato?'

If yes, even if it's not brilliant, it's probably good.

To be fair, "Turkey Dinner" chips taste (to me, at least) very much like the "Roast Chicken" crisps tha I can occasionally get at at the local shop that imports foods from the UK, with a hint of sage added. It wasn't much of a risk for the company.
