Alright I have a stupid question, why does the deck come out after the fall of Crystal Osaka? Why not after the fall of Boskone prime or in aanniversary celebration of the end of the war at port phobos II? Just asking cause limiting ourselves to such a short timeframe is going to seriously curtail the available persons and events that can be used.

Quote:Ace of Swords: The Reaver. Indicates decisive ability. Cutting through confusion. Taking a radical decision or standpoint. The ability to see through deception, and expose it.
Could also be someone breaching a door or other opening assault/SWAT style.

I'd also offer the idea that the Moon and the Star should be reversed. The entire concept of the Buckaroo Banzai is the blending of science and mysticism (much the pulp heroes he's based off of), so he would definitely not be a representation of the purely material.
No objection here, and it does make sense. Does anyone want to leave it as-is?

It has to come out some time, and 2013 is a half-decade after people started colonizing space.

One would think there's be enough famous people to fill a Tarot deck in a half-decade. Consider all the famous Trekkies, famous Warsies, famous Potterites, famous Browncoats, and so on - big factions are bound to have somebody noteworthy for the deck.

Of course, we don't know who they are - which is a bit odd. One would think we'd have at least penciled in something on the big parts of the canvas, but only one of the six Major Factions has been developed to any extent:
  1. http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... e:Trekkies
  2. http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... te:Warsies
  3. http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... te:Wizards
  4. http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... ate:Fivers (a particularly depressing showing)
  5. http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... Browncoats
  6. http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... ate:Senshi (the only one at the level all of these should be at, IMHO)

But why only half a decade? Why not an entire decade, or seven years, (a mystical number)13 years (number oof cards in a suit) 5 years just leaves to narrow a confines to work with.

Because that's what we had when we started this project.

EDIT: Oh, and there's 14 cards in a Tarot suit.

The problem with filling them out is the same as it's always been..... they're just not our obsessive fandoms. But they may be someone elses.

And I just rememebered there was a ssith Lord Fate Testarossa somewhere on the fenwiki, who might be a good fit for one of them.
