Agreed - Usagi gets a sapphire ring (and promptly loses herself in its affect).
Makoto's the one with the willpower and drive; she gets the emerald ring.
(And Hotaru's the best candidate for a black ring, depending on when in the storyline this takes place...)

...Although Johns's setup bugs me. Back when the green power was specifically the mental energies of the Guardians, stored in the central battery and
shared out to the Corpsmen who used their will to control it, it made sense that they had a near monopoly on the stuff. Now that it's just plain Will
Itself, why is it the sole province of the GLC? And the same goes for the other Corps; how is it that these and only these organizations control the relevant
bits of the emotional spectrum?

I get the feeling that the current crop of "emotional spectrum" rings are powered by unique batteries, and the Guardians have the green one for whatever reason.
Which is silly, of course. First, why would there only be seven or eight such batteries in a universe that's as cluttered with god-level beings as the DCU is? Second, why are they crowded into an extremely narrow section of the EM spectrum? (One would expect there to be VHF Lanterns and Microwave Lanterns out there somewhere... but, no, they're all crowded into one small sliver of the spectrum that isn't even a full octave.)
Anyway... back to the Crossovers That Should Not Be: In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future, There is Only War... until somebody re-discovers the "Protoculture" of Lynn Minmay. (Warhammer40K/Macross, anyone?)

So I was thinking... What if.... the Team Fortress 2 levels and characters were all a grand experiment run by GLados? See there is this female petulant voice
that booms out whether you've won lost or drew the previous round but there is no announcer booth or overhead observation area. There are security
camera's scattered all over though.

That just makes me think that the Reds and the Blues end up sharing a base and get alternate opponents in their new base guarding nothing in the middle of
nowhere. I mean they already have a pair of hoards of respawning madmen having a holy war over holy flags as cannon. Those guys would barely even phase them.

Actually I was thinking about the Cosmic Tarot Series by Andre Norton. The "Deck" has five suits (swords, staffs, cups, coins, and lamps), four face
card types ( page, knight, queen, and king), and 30 Triumphs. (no I'm not going to list them) A total of one hundred cards.
