Always good advice. Yes, even if Happosai or a similar annoyance is clinging to it, they'll just move in the last fraction of a second. Much better in such situations to dunk your head in a sink or large bucket full of water; either the wizened old freak will drown if he refuses to let go, or you'll have a head start at washing until your skin turns red and tingly to get the squick off.
