- Morganite - 02-29-2008 I believe you actually have to be level 41 to get the Jonin special mission. General Store I don't believe actually gives you any new items. I'd suggest Sand Village Trading Post and Arms Depot first. - katreus - 02-29-2008 Arms Depot! ^_^ General Store makes things 20% cheaper. - Bluemage - 02-29-2008 Yes, the Arms Depot. That's the one I meant to suggest... after we get the War Room, of course. Chakra Armor and Trench Knives are nice, but doubling progress towards all the NWW stuff is probably better. What does the Science! upgrade do, anyway? My Unitarian Jihad Name is: Brother Atom Bomb of Courteous Debate. Get yours. I've been writing a bit. - ECSNorway - 03-01-2008 Hmmm. I think it lets you make potions and such. And TiehMei has achieved Shikai! Woot! -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - katreus - 03-01-2008 That's potion palace. Science upgrades are just random upgrades. I've seen some that double the chance of rare items appearing on collection hunts. - s3yang - 03-01-2008 Question. Most of you guys are way higher level than I am since I just started. Should I even bother trying to do the sparring thing? - ECSNorway - 03-01-2008 Sure. It gets you XP. -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - Morganite - 03-01-2008 From what I've seen, it gives you about as much experience as a successful mission even if you lose, and even more if you win. It doesn't give you money though. Which I think might be more important for a while than just levelling faster. -Morgan. - Norgarth - 03-01-2008 You also get a good chunk of extra Jutsu XP after every 50th spar (50, 100, ect) Once you have at least 200 matches you can bring Bruce Jr as a teammate and upgrade him to level 2. ___________________________ "I've always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific." - George Carlin - s3yang - 03-01-2008 Alright. cool. Does it notify whoever I put on my list? Or do I need to post who I put on the list on the forums here? - Norgarth - 03-01-2008 Unfortunately, it does not inform the other person. Posting your current list of potential sparring partners either here or on the village menu would probably work. If you post it here make sure you post your character's name as well. oh, BTW, I was wrong, the reward per 50 spars is 100 stamina, not Jutsu XP. ___________________________ "I've always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific." - George Carlin - ECSNorway - 03-02-2008 Wow. The Jounin special mission is HARD. A-class missions get into difficulties of 13+ by default. 15-17 is more likely. Yow! -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - DKnight54 - 03-02-2008 In theory, as a Jonin, the missions you take will require special application of the correct jutsus in order to succeed, much like the Jonin special mission. In reality, however, I've found that unless you have almost all of the referral items, are extremely lucky and won range boosting super-rares, or a Legacy Nin with Billy's lvl2 or lvl3 jutsus, you are up a creek with no paddle. Especially when you encounter missions with 20 difficulty... Be the Ultimate Ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today! - Morganite - 03-03-2008 I've been doing A-ranks for the past couple days, and I'm not sure I'd class most of them as *that* difficult. With Crazy Love Triangle and K-Dog's Headband, that's enough range for most missions. (The chakra armor from Arms Depot would be enough for most of the rest.) As for strength, it's good to have Bankai. And various other items. But I can still pass most I have enough range for, and I have no referral stuff. Of course, it'll be potentially easier for everyone when we have more stores. So far I haven't run into anything with 20 difficulty. Or heard of anything for that matter, except the mission to get Billy lvl. 3. For which, there's a post on the Random Village forums with a very long list of items and bonuses to let you pass that mission... (Don't think it includes referral items either. '.' ) -Morgan. - DKnight54 - 03-03-2008 What I meant is that you don't need to get referral items to have the range, but that it's one of the options(And easiest if you don't mind advertising) to get. Alternatively, you've got to get at least range boosting items from the wheel, and/or buy the chakra armour. The rest, you'd have to get by either range boosting jutsus and/or team bonuses. Be the Ultimate Ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today! - ECSNorway - 03-07-2008 OK... So, right now, with the items I've got and teamed with The Scar and Annie (and Stalkergirl Lv2 for cuteness and stamina), I can complete Diff 15 Ninjutsu missions, at least... ran through a bunch of those today. -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - s3yang - 03-09-2008 Why not go for the ro-sham-bo redux team bonus? Not too hard to get lil ro, lil bo, and lil shammy to lvl 2, and the team bonus is huge compared to what you have, before you switch to crazy love triangle. Total bonus is: +5 Gen Levels +5 Nin Levels +5 Tai Levels +2 Range +2 Strength +1 Stamina per mission - ECSNorway - 03-10-2008 Mostly because I wanted to keep Stalkergirl in the party (I still have the Creepy Love Letter), but +2 Range for that team? Tempting, very tempting. I do have them levelled, along with Stalkergirl and Pinky. Still need to get Billy and Emosuke, though. (And Timmy. And Shorty. Hm.) -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - s3yang - 03-10-2008 Try to get billy leveled. Crazy love triangle is +3 range, _and_ has stalkergirl in it. I jumped on the wagon - WengFook - 03-10-2008 I got a question, is it absolutely necessary to join a village to progress in rank? :S Be the Ultimate Ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today! _________________________________ Take Your Candle, Go Light Your World. - Foxboy - 03-10-2008 fraid so ''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll - Morganite - 03-10-2008 Though there's not really any downside to it that I can think of. '.' -Morgan. - CattyNebulart - 03-10-2008 I'm going to be gone for about a week and a half and I'm not sure if I will be able to show go online during that time. Just in case my character is going to be idle for a while. E: "Did they... did they just endorse the combination of the JSDF and US Army by showing them as two lesbian lolicons moving in together and holding hands and talking about how 'intimate' they were?" B: "Have you forgotten so soon? They're phasing out Don't Ask, Don't Tell." - s3yang - 03-10-2008 Maybe we should get the Natural research facility after all.... I mean, some of this stuff is _awesome_ Short monster guide: After your village gets the Natural Research Facility, monsters will sometimes attack your village. Each time you fight a monster during the day, it costs more and more Stamina, but the payoff can be pretty rewarding! However, not beating the monster in 7 days costs everyone in your village 30 Stamina, the village half of its Ryo, and, if your village is large enough, one of your upgrades. Beating the monster will land your village a secret upgrade. The leader and one other ninja will also receive a special item! I was kind of worried with the sabotage thing, but judging from what I've seen in the village my alt's in, that's unlikely to be an issue unless you really annoy a lot of people. (Especially since if you don't have the sabotage facility, it limits how much you can be sabotaged...) Though there don't seem to be many useful things to do with the advanced resources until size 35. -Morgan. |
