Norway's answer was 'due to the terrible state of your prison system we cannot allow this extradition on humanitarian grounds.' RE: Oddities spotted in the news - classicdrogn - 05-29-2019 "Hey lady, can I bum a ride? Just a couple miles down to the Pickanick Market Basket..." Cute on this side of the screen, perhaps. Not so much at the time. RE: Oddities spotted in the news - Black Aeronaut - 05-29-2019 Yeah, I usually keep my doors locked while driving as a matter of course. That would have reduced this encounter from "HOLY FUCK ADRENALINE TIME!" to "Whoah, cool! ....Hope he doesn't fuck up my paint." RE: Oddities spotted in the news - classicdrogn - 05-29-2019 That picture though. Such an adorable derpy face for a huge fucking predator intent on sampling some tender, delicious human flesh. RE: Oddities spotted in the news - Black Aeronaut - 05-31-2019 Eh. Bears are predators, sure. But it's incredibly rare for them to intentionally go after a human as a source of food. Humans get mauled, sure, but that's mainly because you've somehow irked the bear. (There's a reason why terms like "Poking the bear" exist.) It's such a rare thing that a bear figuring out how to open a car door is commonplace by comparison. (They're actually pretty damn intelligent.) In this situation? Sure, it was scary as hell. But given that the bear appears to be in great health and does not seem to be behaving aggressively... "Hi. I'm a bear! Do you have something to eat in here? Because it smells like you got something to eat in there. No no, don't get up, I'll just check for myself..." |
