On the original thread topic... What if Louise got a pony with her Summon Familiar spell? The Great and Powerful Trixie was the one I was specifically thinking of, but anypony could work depending on how it was written. Of course, having one of the Mane Six missing would make for some problems on the Equestria end, but Twilight or Pinkie could probably find ways to pop back and forth as desired anyway, because Twi is a unicorn-squared with her cutie mark for magic, and Pinkie is... Pinkie. And just the idea of the latter in the role fills me with mischievous giggles, as is often the case with Pinkie Pie.

If you have a youtube account (and since youtube has been absorbed by google, I assume everyone does) you can set your preferences so that you get H.264 streams instead of flash.
These videos than can be right-clicked and downloaded.

Lessons we have learned:
Dash's black belt back in Call of the Cutie was not for show, and she also classifies as a tactical munition.
Fluttershy has apparently been taking classes in her spare time in the same. I'm kind of afraid of what the spa ponies DO behind closed doors now.
And both unicorns in the Mane Six seem to have taken "OCD" and "drama queen" as their major hindrances during character creation.
Also, Celestia showing up at the tick of sundown was hilarious, if only just for the "OH SHIT" faces on everyone else.

ok, I was wrong (hey it happens).
The H.264 download option wasn't part of youtube settings, I just thought it was due to association.
after fiddling around with various plugin settings and youtube setting the download option actually comes from the clicktoflash plugin I'm running.
I have no clue if you use safari, firefox's flashblock doesn't seem to do the same thing (though this may be due to the WebM vs H.264 and not the plugins).
Sorry about he confusion. I found out about clicktoflash and youtube html5 stuff at the same time and cross some mental wires.

I'm pretty sure Keepvid offers H.264 downloads, though I may be mistaken since I always go for mp4 Okay, it's not as simple as a right-click, but copying the URL and pasting it into the interface isn't too bad. http://keepvid.com/
