What Chris Has Actually Been Doing With His Time - ECSNorway - 12-30-2009 In case you've been wondering what I do with all that time I'm not either in work or on COH... I've been painting minis. Lots and lots of Battletech minis that I picked up for cheap. So far my goal is to have at least a company each for a unit for each faction. Units picked so far: Davion: 7th Crucis Lancers Steiner: 3rd Lyran Guards Kurita: 7th Sword of Light Marik: unsure but probably 2nd or 5th Marik Militia. Liao: unsure Merc: homebrew Pirate: homebrew Clan: Jade Falcon Rho Galaxy, possibly more to come Some pictures of the Davion and Steiner sets: Davion / 7th Crucis Lancers Zeus Awesome Centurion Nightstar Blackjack Griffon Trebuchet Steiner / 3rd Lyran Guards Archer Crusader Ostsol, IIRC And Zeus This is, btw, about a quarter of what's done so far for each. -- Sucrose Octanitrate. All but the Archer and Crusader look like they have some manner of coating to them. --- The Master said: "It is all in vain! There are two reasons for this: 1) It's a very tough protectant for the actual paint coat - several times tougher than the matte coat.. 2) It gives a very smooth surface for decals to grab onto. Once decals have been applied, I'll hit it with one more gloss-coat layer, then a matte layer. -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. |
