Nanoha's New Weapon - Jorlem - 03-31-2010 I give you the CW-AEC02X Strike Cannon. Look upon it and weep. (A translation is here.) As far as I can tell by reading the forums, this is legit. And awesome. ----- Stand between the Silver Crystal and the Golden Sea. "Youngsters these days just have no appreciation for the magnificence of the legendary cucumber." --Krityan Elder, Tales of Vesperia. - Morganite - 03-31-2010 Eh. I look upon it and think "Raising Heart looks cooler." -Morgan. - OpMegs - 03-31-2010 I'm more interested in the comments made in the AnimeSuki thread itself. This kind of tech development in the face of the AMF fields Scaglietti designed is logical, and also an interesting step given the TSAB's mild phobia against mass weapons. Amusingly, it seems to be a step towards more "DnD" style effects where magic is used to manipulate energy that's already there rather than shooting something with raw magic until it gives. --- "Oh, silver blade, forged in the depths of the beyond. Heed my summons and purge those who stand in my way. Lay waste." - Rod.H - 03-31-2010 Hooboy......I'd hate to be on the receiving end of a 'Befriending' from that, just what size potental friends are they intending that to be used on, Cybertronians? - Black Aeronaut - 03-31-2010 *Maniacal laughter* Yes! This is perrrrrrrrrrfffeeeeeeeect! (^_^) - s3yang - 03-31-2010 So. wait.... it's a magical mass accelerator? Eep. I wonder if Nanoha will head home for some training.... even if the sword mode of that thing's going to look nothing like a katana. - WengFook - 03-31-2010 s3yang Wrote:So. wait.... it's a magical mass accelerator? Who the hell decided that giving Nanoha "Shoots through frickin' battleship bulkheads" Takamichi more firepower was a good idea? (I mean in universe. This IS really cool but still...) - Jorlem - 04-01-2010 May I point out, whoever it was, they gave one to Vita too. ----- Stand between the Silver Crystal and the Golden Sea. I... er... I have no idea if this is better or worse actually. One one hand, Vita is a berserker. On the other hand, she doesn't focus on massive firepower so she might show better restraint. - robkelk - 04-01-2010 The Hunterminator Wrote:And on the gripping hand, Vita is a close-combat specialist. As in, "A gun that fires Vita", somewhat akin to the L'Arc du Triomphe gun in Sakura Taisen Paris, that fires mecha. -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Y'know, I can just imagine this in use. A bunch of mooks see the TSAB forces pull back from their position and wonder if it was really that easy. Then they hear this sound, just barely inside their hearing range. It gets louder and louder. And it sounds... angry. Then Vita screams in from the sky, lands in their position with all the subtlety of a nuclear bomb and all hell breaks loose as they collectively think "Oh SHIT, it's HER". *gleefully contemplating the mental image* - WengFook - 04-01-2010 HoagieOfDoom Wrote:An Inter Continental Ballistic Vita? Heck given the background of the magic world in the show, would it be too far fetched to believe the TSAB has an outpost near Academy City? _________________________________ Take Your Candle, Go Light Your World. - s3yang - 04-01-2010 robkelk Wrote:Knowing Vita, she'd smash it into someone's face. _Then_ fire. The Hunterminator Wrote:Jorlem Wrote:May I point out, whoever it was, they gave one to Vita too.*Opens and closes his mouth a few times* - Cobalt Greywalker - 08-04-2010 A bit of threadcromancy here... I've managed to come across reasonable images for most of the Nanoha NEXT images. I don't have Nanoha and her strike cannon but I seem to have everything else. WARNING: Although the images themselves are safe, the advertising (and the site in general) is INSANELY NSFW. The spoiler's weapon is a fracking gunblade in the style of final fantasy 8 hopped up on evil, I can't say i'm liking it. I thought it was stupid when I saw it the first time and still think its stupid idea :S _________________________________ Take Your Candle, Go Light Your World. |
