Today's Funky Visual Effect - Epsilon - 05-21-2010 Now this is some impressive work. -------------- Epsilon - Bob Schroeck - 05-21-2010 Oh yes indeed, it is. And just like the commenters, I'm trying to wrap my head around how it was managed. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - Star Ranger4 - 05-21-2010 I'd assume video projection for most of it myself. Render a 3D model of the space from a camera pov that matches the RW camera, then project the results and add some post production stuff Hear that thunder rolling till it seems to split the sky? That's every ship in Grayson's Navy taking up the cry- NO QUARTER!!! -- "No Quarter", by Echo's Children - Sweno - 05-22-2010 you can get some insane resolution now with projectors. 2K-4K (2048 to 4096 lines of resolution, double-quadruple HD) are on the market for relatively cheap. As far as I can tell the image is projected from the opposite corner of the room, near the ceiling. If you pause the video at 0:15 you can notice the blue line bleeds over the edge. Aside from some very small alignment issues, this is a very cool idea. Took me a few minutes to figure out it wasn't backlit. -Terry ----- "so listen up boy, or pornography starring your mother will be the second worst thing to happen to you today" TF2: Spy |
