Sci Fi Airshow - Logan Darklighter - 06-25-2010 Just what it says on the tin. Think this would qualify as another "Meta-inspirational" site for Fenspace? ^_^ - Bob Schroeck - 06-25-2010 It's already there, Logan -- for a few days now. It's even inspired a new ship design. Thanks for echoing it here, though, because it does have a wider appeal than just to the Fenspacers. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - Jorlem - 06-25-2010 Where is this? I can't find a location listed on the website. ----- Stand between the Silver Crystal and the Golden Sea. "Youngsters these days just have no appreciation for the magnificence of the legendary cucumber." --Krityan Elder, Tales of Vesperia. - ECSNorway - 06-25-2010 Judging from my read of it, I'd say it exists only on the web. I mean, they're talking about an actually-built-by-Pan-Am Orion that flies to the moon and back? -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - Bob Schroeck - 06-26-2010 Yes, it's an imaginary airshow of non-existent "practical" vehicles built for shows we know actually used models and props. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - ordnance11 - 06-26-2010 You mean the FS-1 didn't really exist?....Not Fair! __________________ Into terror!, Into valour! I thought it was a real collection of mock ups and models that you could walk around, or go into, and art of what they would look like in space. Darn. ----- Stand between the Silver Crystal and the Golden Sea. "Youngsters these days just have no appreciation for the magnificence of the legendary cucumber." --Krityan Elder, Tales of Vesperia. - robkelk - 07-07-2014 (blows dust off thread) (blows more dust off thread) They've added a tour of the Space:1999 Eagle boneyard to the site. Just thought folks might like to know. -- Rob Kelk "Governments have no right to question the loyalty of those who oppose them. Though you'd want to, you know, vet that to keep out the killer cars. Not that you wouldn't want to do that for the air show, but the only one that immediately comes to mind is the killer AI jet fighter from "Stealth." With a Car Show, you've got a wide variety of haunted vehicles, including several from the Stephen King collection. (I don't know about you, but walking into a convention center and seeing a 1958 Plymouth Fury parked next a White Western Star 4800 semi sporting a Green Goblin mask would make me turn right around and get the fuck out.) Of course, I suppose there's only so many ways to say "bodged together out of some sheet stock and a bunch of plastic model kits," or "a wooden frame and fiberglass shell with any gribblies we could find for detailing." -- "Anko, what you do in your free time is your own choice.
