Lately every message I post is a solid block of text with all spaces, tabs and returns removed.

I have no clue.
It does not appear to be happening to anyone else, which hints it might be something specific either to your machine, or what it's sending to Yuku.

I have posted in three different browsers and each appeared to lose the formatting and extra spaces in each browser.
I go back to the post in edit mode minutes or even days later and make no changes just look at the post via edit and it recovers my original formatting.
The only changes I've made lately is a forced switch to a satellite ISP two months ago.
