Another Crawling Chaos Anime preview - Disruptor - 04-01-2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grDacobS ... re=related This is a laugh riot. Doug(Looney Toons) would probably respect that boy for threating the silver-haired girl with a fork, considering who she is. Sometime on the 9th, the first episode will be released http://www.crunchyroll.com/search?q=Nyaruani Will be the site streaming it to us. They have the first two flash series already up and will be bringing the cel anime to us soon http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... n-tv-anime Has more information. -------------------- Tom Mathews aka Disruptor - Black Aeronaut - 04-01-2012 Interesting... a male protagonist character who is not afraid to threaten the lead female with violence whenever she starts acting bizarrely. EDIT: *Out of interest of a new twist, looks up more info on the anime* .... OMFG... Nyarlathotep as a cute girl? That is full so much wrong that it is probably made of win and awesome. - classicdrogn - 04-01-2012 Well, it's supposed to have... was it 1001 or 1,000,001 forms? Either way, why couldn't one be a cute girl? There are few better ways to sow chaos among teenage boys, and like the dude who started the whole drill squad mess in Stalky & Company said, the boys of today are the men of tomorrow. - CD -- "Anko, what you do in your free time is your own choice. Use it wisely. And if you do not use it wisely, make sure you thoroughly enjoy whatever unwise thing you are doing." - HymnOfRagnorok as Orochimaru at SpaceBattles woot Med. Eng., verb, 1st & 3rd pers. prsnt. sg. know, knows - Disruptor - 04-01-2012 Yes. The silver haired girl is actually Nyarlthotep(Nyarko) and the red haired girl is Cthuga(Cuko) who has a crush on Nyarko. Mahiro(the boy) does know that Nyarko is an alien and does still threaten her with a fork. 1001 forms for Nyarlthortp -------------------- Tom Mathews aka Disruptor - Bob Schroeck - 04-02-2012 Oh dear god no. ... one of the most recent YouTube comments is simply "My Cthulhu Can't Be This Cute". Which I think pretty much sums it all up. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - Ebony - 04-02-2012 I'm reminded of a webcomic that has a similar concept. "Ah! My Sanity!" is the name, I think. Ebony the Black Dragon http://ebony14.livejournal.com "Good night, and may the Good Lord take a Viking to you." - Black Aeronaut - 04-03-2012 Found it here, Ebony. http://owmysanity.comicgenesis.com/ Really, very good. Almost like as though the sanity rending creatures of darkness are not really all that... some of them just have a bit of blue and orange morality and could use a bit of context. - Disruptor - 04-04-2012 With all the horror and hate directed at this version if Nyralthotep, the various mythos writers will probably grab it and make it an actuality. She probably already is. -------------------- Tom Mathews aka Disruptor - robkelk - 04-11-2012 It would appear that the first episode is now available. On Usenet, Galen Musbach Wrote:I flee. One of the things I learned is that it has the nickname, "Ah My Elder Goddess!" Somewhat appropriate, given that Hisakawa Aya voices the male lead's mother in the anime ... and Inoue Kikuko voiced her in the drama CD. Still curious, I checked out the second season's first episode. The episode opened with Nyaruko making a video she said would be a report to her superiors on how her task is going -- except she was claiming that she and Mahiro met "in an ordinary way" and had gotten married. More to the point, the visual part was unmistakably based on the opening credits animation from Bewitched: starting with Nyaruko flying around on a broomstick, vanishing when her "husband" kisses her cheek, and then a cat jumps into his arms and turns into Nyaruko again.... At about this point, Mahiro interrupts to gripe about how inaccurate this is. ----- Big Brother is watching you. And damn, you are so bloody BORING. - Labster - 05-16-2013 Honestly, I loved the first season. I'm not really into the Mythos -- my experience consists of a couple of sessions of CoC, a few games of Arkham Horror, and the fanfic Osaka and the Yellow Sign. You're probably won't like this show if you are expecting incomprehensible, squamous Elder Gods. But what I like about the anime is that it's a comic plot of love triangles driven by the characters' collective stupidity. That's pretty much like Urusei Yatsura, and I'm happy to see anime comedy returning to its roots, so to speak. Just a UY is a Japanese mythology crack fic, Nyaruko is a Lovecraft mythos crack fic. -- ∇×V - Dragonflight - 05-16-2013 Sooo....
