Iron Man 3 Trailer Released - Bob Schroeck - 10-23-2012 Sadly, the copy I came across does not support "old-style" embed code, so I can only provide link to it. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - Matrix Dragon - 10-23-2012 Oh man, I really hope You and Dummy are safe in the basement (Dummy's looking for the fire extinguisher.) Interesting how seeing Stark Mansion get hit like that does create a bit of an emotional response from me. That place has had a lot happen there over the last two movies. Nice - Rev Dark - 10-23-2012 Nice. But why does Tony have a giant stuffed bunny in his living room? If it is the furry armour, I am so out of here. - s3yang - 10-24-2012 Rev Dark Wrote:Nice.Tony's a random kinda guy. So he has random kinda things in his living room. - Bob Schroeck - 10-24-2012 Maybe it's Pepper's. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - ECSNorway - 10-24-2012 Interesting. -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - Jorlem - 10-25-2012 Bob Schroeck Wrote:Sadly, the copy I came across does not support "old-style" embed code, so I can only provide a link to it.Here you go: ----- Stand between the Silver Crystal and the Golden Sea. "Youngsters these days just have no appreciation for the magnificence of the legendary cucumber." --Krityan Elder, Tales of Vesperia. - nocarename - 10-25-2012 It's important to note that the fundamental Iron Man story arc starts with being Tony Stark is awesome and ends with being Iron Man is bad ass. The middle is where most of the trailer is from I figure. - Foxboy - 10-25-2012 I like the Norman Osborn paintjob on War Machine there. ''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll - OpMegs - 10-25-2012 Points I note and like: - Tony's brush with death in New York has had some serious consequences. Apparently even Mr. Stark doesn't just casually brush off nearly sacrificing himself for everyone. - Tony's blase about his personal safety, but very serious about Pepper's. I wonder if we'll see her "Rescue" suit from later comics in the movies eventually. - The Iron Patriot armor almost doesn't look silly... until I get to the star painted around the arc reactor. Thankfully, in motion, you're more focused on all the other details, so it should look appropriately badass. - "Some call me a terrorist. I consider myself a teacher. Lesson one." I really like what they're apparently going for with the Mandarin here. Hopefully his magic rings aren't too bizarrely out of place given the hard science feel Iron Man tends to have. Asgardian artifacts, maybe? --- "Oh, silver blade, forged in the depths of the beyond. Heed my summons and purge those who stand in my way. Lay waste." - Sweno - 10-25-2012 [knowing nothing about the comics mythology] it seems like a fair amount of 'asgardian' artifacts were originally from other civilizations. It was the frost giants power source in thor that was the maguffin. So I can see other Magi-Tech artifacts being used for the rings. -Terry ----- "so listen up boy, or pornography starring your mother will be the second worst thing to happen to you today" TF2: Spy - Ebony - 10-25-2012 Ben Kingsley really has embraced his destiny to play scene-chewing bad guys. Ebony the Black Dragon http://ebony14.livejournal.com "Good night, and may the Good Lord take a Viking to you." - Berk - 10-25-2012 If anyone needs to eat EVERYONE'S daily share of scenery it's whoever plays the Mandarin. - Grumpy Uncle Gearhead - Ebony - 10-26-2012 Berk Wrote:If anyone needs to eat EVERYONE'S daily share of scenery it's whoever plays the Mandarin.Very true. He is only surpassed by heralds of Galactus and other cosmically powered entities. And Doom. I asked Mr. Moore about the term at a convention, and he said that he got it from one of his drama coaches in college.Quote:*milks giant invisible cow* Ebony the Black Dragon http://ebony14.livejournal.com "Good night, and may the Good Lord take a Viking to you." |
