I thought the kiddies were younger than that. These look like mid- to late-teens. - Bob Schroeck - 12-07-2012 Yes, they are a bit older than the book specifies. It's the mechanics of film-making, though -- it's hard to find believably young kids who are also good actors, at least in the quantities needed for movies like that. Part of the story is the loss of innocence in the kids as they go through battle training. It's easier and more poignant to do that with younger kids than young adults. |
