I'm sure that most people are aware: steam is now on linux.

Specifically, Ubuntu. I dunno how well it plays with other distros, but you can get it in the Ubuntu Software Center. Plus you get the Linux Penguin, Tux, as a TF2 item when you play TF2 on Linux.
