I picked up a tablet and am looking at DVD ripping software - any recommendations - also if anyone has favorite apps for surface RT - please let me know.

I'm a fan of ripit (link, for getting the media off the disks) and handbrake (link, for converting the media into something I want to watch on my screen)
ripit is mac only, but I know there exists apps on windows that fill the same gap.
handbrake is multiplatform and free.
