I'm not sure which direction I want to take the conversation in ... so I'll do both.
The more serious thread: Not only is punctuation important, diacritical marks are important, too.
The less serious thread: Now people will have to visit Newfoundland for their prurient place names (Tickle Bay, Dildo, Come By Chance, Conception Bay ...)
