Apparently, some people like the ideas of "brittle skin" and "smells like being fried" when they tan themselves - the bottles were all gone within hours. Go figure.
My thoughts? Well, I've already added this to All The Tropes, on the "Unfortunate Implications" list.

Well, the Extra-Crispy Colonel - played by the Man With The Tan himself, George Hamilton - has gone a long way toward selling the look. Though, personally, I think he looks a little creepy.
