AP: Massive fire tears through Brazil's 200-year old National Museum
The museum was closed at the time of the fire, and as yet there have been no reports of injuries. However, many of the historical and anthropological artifacts have been lost.
The closest fire hydrants to the museum were not working. They've had two years to work on their infrastructure since it was shown to be lacking during the 2016 Olympics; why wasn't a public institution protected?
