Just keep in mind the writing porcess - building the filesize up to the point where it's ready to edit takes the first 90% of the writing time; editing it down to something readable takes the other 90%...

Unfortunately right now Chris is stalled on a scene, and I've been sick the last two days -- just enough that I groan at the thought of writing.
If the chapter lent itself to splitting into two, I would have suggested doing so to Chris by now, so that we could release a smaller chapter 3 now, and a roughly equal-sized chapter 4 not long from now. But the material as it stands doesn't have an internal structure that would allow us to do so.
