If he thinks people are actually going to step back from following the money, he's a cuckoolander as ridiculously naive as Richard Stallman.

Oh yes, his skills and problem solving intelligence are unquestionable. Doesn't make his ideals any more practical for anyone who needs money for rent and groceries, though, let alone wanting it for whatever else.
