Seen at Anime North - robkelk - 06-09-2010 Not by me, alas - I had to work that weekend - but by a friend. I haven't seen these yet. However, I trust said friend's judgment regarding music. (I don't always agree with it, but I trust it...) All links are to animemusicvideos.org. Quoting from his con report: Quote:I've missed a good lot of the main masquerade thanks to these things running behind time, so I decide to chuck the rest of it in and go to the AMV creators and judges party instead. When I get there, all the pizza has been inhaled (s'allright, not really hungry) and only chips and diet cola are left. I grab these things, settle in, reintroduce myself to Todd Serge of Corndog Vidvids and tell him the story about the Asian loligoth girl at my music panel last year reacting to his Chobits/Masonna AMV (for those who haven't read it, the volume was louder than I expected, and she leaned forward with her hands clamped over her ears, and smiled at the same time; very memorable). He was greatly amused to hear about it. Here it is again; turn your volume down, because this is louder than hell and about as easy to listen to:-- Rob Kelk "Governments have no right to question the loyalty of those who oppose them. Adversaries remain citizens of the same state, common subjects of the same sovereign, servants of the same law." - Michael Ignatieff, addressing Stanford University in 2012 |
