[RFC] Black Aeronaut Technologies - Areospace Frames and Star Drives - Black Aeronaut - 08-23-2010 Black Aeronaut Technologies Aerospace Frames and Star Drive Systems Creative Aerospace Solutions for the Discerning Spacer Black Aeronaut Technologies was established by Benjamin Rhodes after the Boskonian War. Even though Zwilnicks, Boskonians, and Reavers still plagued Humanity in general, few people wanted to purchase a mercenary force - those that could afford it had their own armed forces, and those that couldn't... well, couldn't. With this knowledge in mind, Benjamin established Black Aeronaut with a two-fold purpose in mind:
BA-226 Albatross The Albatross is a heavy lift aerospace frame that follows the basic plan-form of the venerable and one-of-a-kind An-225 МріÑ. When people asked Benjamin why he would name an aircraft after such an ungainly creature, he responded by holding up photographs of a BA-226 and an Albatross in-flight, saying, "It's an Albatross, okay?" The Albatross features the An-225's massive twin-tail assembly, only with the added standard feature of a tail-gate so loading from either end of the plane is possible. Despite being fully hard-tech, the BA-226 is capable of 50% greater weight capacity, and capable of short-field operations and tactical airlifting. BA-4 Astroliner Modeled after Norman Bel Geddes' Airliner #4, the Astroliner is a moving, functional sculpture in Art Deco. Capable of lifting up to four-hundred passengers in the comfort of staterooms, suites, promenades and verandas, the Astroliner is the ideal way for anyone to tour the Solar System and beyond. BA-36 Piece Makers When it simply must be destroyed - completely, utterly, and without question - you do not send in a small squad of light-bombers. You send in this big fucker. With its four modular bays, each one with a capacity of 9.75 metric tons, these space planes can be loaded up with enough munitions to blow away even the most fortified bases. And the eight remotely operated 20mm Vulcan point defense guns means anyone that comes after this big bird is gonna get pecked. Hard. BA-71 Blackbirds Speed is the name of the game here. Up to .12c, in fact - the fastest of her size classification with the exception of the prototype. And with a thirty-cell VLS module and two Vulcans for point defense no one is gonna say you can't hit like a linebacker, either. With the additional capability of carrying a pair of light-fighters into the fray, you have a winning combination that has been battle-tested and -proven in the fires of the Boskonian War. TIE Fighter Line If you have a small militia to run, or you simply prefer swarm tactics, then the TIE line is right for you. With modularized systems stripping down a fighter is as easy as field-stripping a service rifle. TIE-S The Standard TIE fighter is a good all-around fighter. While short-ranged, it improves on the source material by including light shields and FTL capability. TIE-A The Advanced version is a long-range scouting platform and heavy fighter - a good choice for deep patrols. TIE-I As the name suggests, the Interceptor has the speed and weaponry to put down most any aggressors. TIE-B This Bomber is of a light variety. Though a bit slow and unwieldy, its payload capacity makes up for it. TIE-D Defender - as in Home Front. When the chips are down, this is what you want protecting your vital assets. TIE-V The Avenger is a space superiority fighter, offering less-of-the-same of the TIE-D for savings in mass. Ideal for escort missions in high-risk areas. Payment Most forms of payment are accepted, but it is preferred that payment be rendered through a two-part transaction: First, through the delivery of raw materials needed for the order (no pre-manufactured goods, please - raw ingots will suffice). Second, funds-transfer upon shipment for a pre-arranged amount based on usual man-hours worked for a given project. Custom Jobs Black Aeronaut is happy to take any and all custom job orders, however the list of approved manufacturers of 3rd party components is short. If you wish to outfit your order with third-party components that are not on our approved list, then you must do so yourself at your own risk. If any problem should arise, Black Aeronaut will only render technical support if the work is done by qualified technicians. - robkelk - 08-23-2010 Is the TIE line a special for the Warsies, or can anyone buy them? Something to think about... -- Rob Kelk "Governments have no right to question the loyalty of those who oppose them. Adversaries remain citizens of the same state, common subjects of the same sovereign, servants of the same law." - Michael Ignatieff, addressing Stanford University in 2012 - Black Aeronaut - 08-25-2010 If Black Aeronaut sells it, then it's pretty much up-for-grabs for anyone. The Warsies-via-Lucas-Arts, however, hold the copyrights. Benjamin's little outfit just happens to make the best version - and in production-line numbers at that. Anyone else that wants some has to pay an additional royalty. It makes the Standard TIE a bit more expensive than a F-EZig, with the price escalating accordingly as you get closer and closer to the TIE-D. - Dakota - 09-21-2010 Sabre would approach Ben about building a Whale King. while he's not rich he's willing to work things out with Ben for payment. Going on what was said on IRC few days ago. Working on zoids for Ben, being draftable on little notice to the Roughriders during emergences, and probably a few other things. _______________________________________________________________ Characters Sabre Fang Dakota |
