Smouldering Decay - Sweno - 10-19-2008

This matches the final result of Decay at level 50, and I think I have the slot/power levels correct, but without doing a lot of Ouro missions I can't be
sure.

I'm reasonably happy with her currently, I normaly play at Rugged and have no problems holding/stunning the groups and bosses I run across. Only if
something stuns me do things get dicey, but more recently I have learned to send the imps in for the first strike.

One thing I'm sure of: More Recovery is needed. I can't have all 6 of my toggles running (Fire Shield, Acrobatics, Hotfeet, Choking Cloud, Radiation
Infection, and Enervating Field) running at the same time without slowly losing end. And forget about attacking if I have all of them going. Running with all
my toggles active is not that uncommon if I am going up against a EB or AV, or just a large group of tough enemies (The Cim caves ring a bell here).

Any other tweaks to increase the hold/stun times would be welcome. I know that there are some purple sets in my future (next piece I'm looking at is
another Ragnarok for Fire ball), but such things will take time.

More health/regen or more defense/resistances would be welcome, as that increases my survivability when I play the role of the tank. But this isn't a high
priority

Cost is not much of an issue, more expensive merely means it will take longer.

So the order of the day is:
End Recovery,
Stun/Hold times
Survivabily (Health/Defense/Resist)
Ok... And you want a non-purples build and a purples build. You thought about getting the Atlas medalion? Freedom Phalanx Reserve? Portal Jockey? They will help.
*cracks knuckles*
Pick a number between 25 and 50.... say 38. Ok. Powers below level 38 and lower will have lvl 41 IOs in them. This makes lvl 38 your minimum exemplar level, in order to retain the non-purple bonuses.
This will be a minimum intervention tweak, as its a fairly tight build...

Fire Cages
- 4 slot Trap of the Hunter if you can afford it + 1 Enfeebled Operation in here. Yes it is a slight lost of preformance but you get some extra health and some bonus accuracy
Accelerate Metabolism
- Normalized IOs and added a Health Boost.
Hot Foot
- Tried to keep the most expensive (last time I checked) of the Dervish set. Boosted the End Rec and the Max End.
Health
- When you can con some one to give you the uniques... let me know. And let me know how you do it. But they go here.
Stamina
- Replace the Performance Shifter here with a Generic End Mod. Bang, Extra 5% Recovery. Performance Shifter +End is a 4th slot pick.
Cinders
- This was one that I was hesitant to tweak... but if you can pay for it, for basically the same power, you have End Rec, Health Boost, and Extra End. You can swap out the Ghost Widow Embrace Proc for Ghost Widow Embrace Acc/End if you so desire.
Fireball
- Again would prefer not to tweak this, but just a little more will push Decay from pain to gain. The Positron Blasts grant End recovery and then Frankenslot it with Detonation so that you don't get rid of the purple you have.

These changes bring Decay to the point where with all 6 toggles running she has a net gain instead of a net loss. She will go from 0 to 100 end in... 14 minutes 42 seconds.
The only real way to significantly improve the build is to break out the Purples

Brings the 6 toggle, 0 end to 100 end recharge time to 3 mins 15 seconds. Not bad.

Thanks for the input, I'll have to run the numbers and poke at things next time booted into windows.

I have a few of the accolades, I'll check on the ones I'm missing later.

(I have completely given up about the weird fucked up way that yuku inserts the html line returns. I KNOW it wasn't that widely spaced, or broken half way
through the paragraphs like that when I previewed it)

alright, Uni expressed interest in Decays current build, so I'm dumping the datablock here.
Not much has changed except the addition of more purples.

I'm tempted to make a pvp alt build given the success Decay has had so far (Kite! Kite like you've never kited before!). But that can wait until I've completed my other projects [Image: banana-dance.gif]
