Absolute Regen Apocalypse: Edge Sabre - OpMegs - 10-21-2009 So, anyone that's faced Utena in the arena will tell you she's tough. And she really is, though a lot of that is regen's inherent ability to piss people off by healing through their damage. She has almost no damage mitigation, but regen pretty much IS her mitigation. And so I decided to see if I could make that....moreso. Ludicrous doesn't begin to describe what I was able to do. Ironically, despite being able to get it, Physical Perfection simply wasn't worth giving up Hasten there at the end, as Regen lives and dies by how quickly the clickies recharge, and the damage output of a hastened Broadsword wielder is frightening to behold. And then you click on Instant Healing, which proves itself Exactly What It Says On The Tin by allowing Utena to go from 0 to 100% health in 14 seconds. The funny points were when I realized that I got more out of Health by slotting a generic Heal IO than I got out of the +Regen unique. I suppose I could make an even more ludicrous regen based version by picking up Physical Perfection instead of Hasten and slotting it there, but I'm rather happy with this setup as is. --- "Oh, silver blade, forged in the depths of the beyond. Heed my summons and purge those who stand in my way. Lay waste." - Ankhani - 10-21-2009 There's not really anything much I can see here to go with, beyond swapping for recharge if you were so inclined. The only other thing to point out is you might could swap Tough for Phys Perfection for more Regen. Though, do note my regen Experience comes from Ankh's stalkering, where if you're dealt enough damage to make the tough resistance significant you're probably eating floor. (Stalkers are not Scrappers with the Stealth Pool) On an unrelated note: if this is Ludicrous regen, should I be utterly mind blown that Emet can out-regen Utena? (with noted exception of IH) --- The Master said: "It is all in vain! I have never yet seen a man who can perceive his own faults and bring the charge home against himself." >Analects: Book V, Chaper XXVI - Sofaspud - 10-21-2009 I'd be interested in seeing the actual numbers, Ankh. What I suspect is that, in raw HP-per-second, Emet may well out-regen Utena... but what percentage is that of his overall pool? I imagine Utena is healing a larger percentage of her pool than Emet is. Plus, well, you've got Emet tricked out _hardcore_. I might be mistaken, but I don't see purples in Utena's proposed build here. Don't those include a hefty +Regen boost? --sofaspud --"Listening to your kid is the audio equivalent of a Salvador Dali painting, Spud." --OpMegs - Sweno - 10-21-2009 These are making me very curious about what can be done with rusty dreams (my katana/regen scrapper). And as spud noted, purples have either 4% recovery or 16%regen bonuses -Terry ----- "so listen up boy, or pornography starring your mother will be the second worst thing to happen to you today" TF2: Spy - Terrenceknight - 10-22-2009 Emet can only possibly have 1 Purple regen boost. Its from the Ragnarok Ranged damage set. 2 slot bonus is 16%. All other Purple sets with the exception of..Soulbound alligence I think it is offers a 4% Recovery bonus ![]() |
