I don't like ads, and I like the features you get when you pay. (They hooked me good by giving me a "trial period" with all the features when I started the forums a year and a half ago. When the period was about to expire, I looked at what I liked and what I could do without, and decided I'd rather pay than be bothered by ads and insufficient features.)
It's relatively cheap, so I don't mind.
