Re: British Justice System: IN FUCKING SANE - DHBirr - 04-11-2006 Someone please tell me this is a joke article ... that the quotes actually come from The Onion. Of course, even here in the wild, savage US and A, I long ago decided I wouldn't, if at all possible, notify the authorities if I harmed someone who broke into my place. Jail time? Hell, the s.o.b. can sue you for defending yourself! Instead, I'd finish him off, stuff him into a large Hefty bag, and dump his dead ass out in the countryside somewhere. I'm more like a liberal on some issues, more like a conservative on others. The defense of my home is one of the ones where the word "fascist" comes to mind. The moment you force your way into my domicile, you have forfeited your right to live. ----- Big Brother is watching you. And damn, you are so bloody BORING. Re: British Justice System: IN FUCKING SANE - ECSNorway - 04-11-2006 Nope. I've seen too many cases of this sort of thing to believe it could be some sort of farce. This is actually happening.-- "I give you the beautiful... the talented... the tirelessly atomic-powered... R! DOROTHY! WAYNERIGHT! -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Re: British Justice System: IN FUCKING SANE - Fidoohki - 04-13-2006 This is what some people want for the USA system of justice. It's funny, England has some of the strictest gun laws ever created yet their crime rate in Londen is 7-8 times that of New York, whose laws are not half as bad. Makes you wonder. Re: British Justice System: IN FUCKING SANE - blob - 04-13-2006 Yea, but how many people in New York die through gunshot wounds every year and how many people die this way in London every year? What if: Chibi Usa, Veteran Speznas Ninja Commando From Hell(tm)? What if: Chibi Usa, Veteran Speznas Ninja Commando From Hell(tm)? Re: Re: British Justice System: IN FUCKING SANE - David Lewis - 04-17-2006 *sighs* God I miss the days when I was too young to vote and thus had no moral obligation to try and choose a party to help make my country better. Tony or David? Both choices are unappealing at the moment. Everybody join in "My country pisses me off..." hm - Foxboy - 04-18-2006 I won't say anything because "people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." *mutters darkly about the "Two Party System"* ''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll Re: hm - ECSNorway - 04-18-2006 We have two different parties?-- "I give you the beautiful... the talented... the tirelessly atomic-powered... 'Us' and 'Them'. =============================================== "Puripuri puripuri... Bang!" Re: hm - Necratoid - 04-18-2006 Sure.. we have the oxymoron party... which some how represents the black power people (kill and supress the white people) and the white power people (kill and supress the black people) effectively at the same time. They also can't seem to figure out that when people walk into crowds and explode violently they are hostile. We also have the party made of the people who offically have power, but are unable to comprehend that means they can accomplish things with it. It also has a lot of people triing to avoid being in the oxymoron party, long enough for it to collapse under the weight of its own convolution. Then they can take the remains of the ex-oxymorn party and be useless there instead. Re: hm - Norgarth - 04-18-2006 You think that's bad? In Canada we have 3 main parties, which means 50% more idiotic politcical leaches (well proportional to our population at least). Actually there's 4 if you count the Partie Quebequois (aka the french seperatist party), but they're barely a fringe group outside of Quebec (granted, inside Quebec they hold quite a few seats). I almost wish that one of these elections we end up with a PQ Minority government (possible, if the other 3 won roughly the same number of seat each) just to see what they would do. Even if they actually did separate, at least the govmt would stop pandering to them then. (plus I suspect not needing to print every thing in 2 languages would save millions of dollars each year) __________________ "I know when I'm not wanted. So is there anyone that's actually happy with their government? This is particularly odd coming to me. I've always thought of Canada hrm... as more, well, I don't know how to say it, but more noble? Idealistic? With contented people? Interesting to hear otherwise. Phrasement of volital questions - Necratoid - 04-19-2006 Quote:Thats a rather vague and loaded question. Nationally mostly... I mean I'm not happy on some issues... but I'm not in risk of being shot for publically stating that my state's Senators are embarassing. One was in the dictionary as a state Senator, because of how long he had been there and the other I'd never heard of until he desided to become possessed by Xellos and run for president. He also made several zero sum speaches... every line managed to cancel out the next one or the previous one. Maybe they were actually unspeaches. At the state level its a debacal. Recently the states highest court granted itself the power to dictate which laws the legislater must pass... or the executive branch would punish them in some unspecified way. They never actually stated if they had a legal basic for this ruling, so I assume its the exective branch, that would do the punishing. During the early '90's my city had only a handful of minorities all basically just normal people. They spoke English as I know it and crime was low. Then for some bizzarre reason thiings changed. My first sign was that two hispanic guys were talking on the public bus and one was depressed. Apparently someone had desided to import minorities from the center of the state. The next year my high school had literally dozens of minorities students... the kind that speach loudly in semi-ebonics and stood by the front door of the school lobby (in winter) so the could pick fights with people for holding the door open for people with their arms full. This resulted in me coming up with a catch phrase for these kind of situation a few years later: "Stop making me racist. I don't want to be racist." Oh yes... and we now have murders... the minorities killing each other. Still not often, but the frequency has been increasing. So thats some of my political happiness on different levels... always remember to be specific with political questions or things can spiral out of control. And 2 languages? We have 2-3 on everything (some manuels have 8-12). We don't even have French speaking people around here. |
