GOP Reality Show - ordnance11 - 02-29-2012 Let us just say the entertainment factor has been tremendous. What is supposed to be a boring is now has drama and suspense to it! __________________ Into terror!, Into valour! Charge ahead! No! But then it'll be boring again. -- Rob Kelk "Governments have no right to question the loyalty of those who oppose them. Adversaries remain citizens of the same state, common subjects of the same sovereign, servants of the same law." - Michael Ignatieff, addressing Stanford University in 2012 - ordnance11 - 02-29-2012 *waggles hand* maybe, maybe not..but I found interesting the alliance between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. Edit *more hand waggling* Now they're saying it's a ti,e 15 delegates for each guy. I would not call that a win. Especially if you have home court advantage. Well on to Tuesday. __________________ Into terror!, Into valour! Charge ahead! No! All the circus boosts the overall popularity of each candidate by keeping them in the public eye and making them interesting to the news. So that, no matter who wins... the winner has a massive mindshare already built up. The eventual winner's been in the news for so long, that everyone knows they're name, and likely remember them saying something they agree with..... Of course.... no matter who wins, sanity loses. ________________________________ --m(^0^)m-- Wot, no sig? Can they even unbent after all the origami shapes these folks had contorted themselves into? Or do they even care? Edit: The fix is in...the Michigan GOP establishment decided to give both at large votes to Romney. Making it 16-14. Here is their reasoning: Quote:Matt Frendewey, director of communications, Michigan Republican Party: But here is what the Michigan GOP chair said on Feb 8: Quote:"We start off with, after the penalty, 30 voting delegates. Okay? Eachhttp://firstread.msnbc.ms...-michigan-delegate-drama At least it's all electronic now, no more "hanging chads". You can steal an election, but you have to more blatant about it. __________________ Into terror!, Into valour! Charge ahead! No! Anyone can vote, as long as you are a registered voter. Though only in one primary. Turn out was low...maybe only 15 percent in my precinct. I was surprised though at the large number of Romney "at large" delegates in the ballot. The RNC "at large" delegate pool...that will be the deciding factor. __________________ Into terror!, Into valour! Charge ahead! No! Loss of Santorum reminds Romney of trip with dog. - Dartz - 04-11-2012 I guess the majority of GOP Voters found Santorum a little hard to swallow. -- I'll get my coat. ________________________________ --m(^0^)m-- Wot, no sig? - Black Aeronaut - 04-12-2012 Rev Dark Wrote:Santorum leaks plans to drop out.Bush The Second comes out of the shadows to remind us all why we despise Republicans that represent the interests of the 1%. If so, I'm not seeing it. Except maybe the last one in a weird non-sequitor way. - Foxboy - 04-12-2012 Santorum really did himself no favors early on, so a number of commentators of a less-televisable bent have decided that "Santorum" would now mean the byproducts of an act illegal in many states under cruelty to animals statutes. ''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll Not quite right. - Rev Dark - 04-12-2012 Not quite right Fox. http://en.wikipedia.org/w...%22santorum%22_neologism http://blog.spreadingsantorum.com/ - Logan Darklighter - 04-12-2012 *Sigh* Typical. Savage could have gone about complaining about what Santorum said in so many more constructive ways. But he chose the 4chan troll method. I have no respect for him. I've seen more mature responses scrawled on the walls of gas station toilets. What a waste of human skin this "man" is. Sigh... - Rev Dark - 04-12-2012 Yes, because humorists have never used satire. Swift's A Modest Proposal was equally shocking in its day. Quote:What a waste of human skin this "man" is.I see... Well given that you hadn't heard of Santorum; it is time to further educate you. I will not take issue with your use of parenthesis around the word man in regards to Dan Savage; but you should ask yourself why you used them. So this is what the person you describe as a 'waste of human skin' did. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Gets_Better_Project All those responses. All those people standing shoulder to shoulder. All of those people responding to the sort of homophobic tripe that pours from Rick Santorum at every turn. We should all be such a waste of human skin. - Logan Darklighter - 04-12-2012 Yes. Because he's SABOTAGING HIS OWN MOVEMENT by acting in an irrational, juvenile manner. In other words, he's NOT HELPING. "It gets better" looks like a great thing to be doing. And the BASTARD IS RISKING IT by doing this juvenile CRAP? Fuck him. He's made clear that he himself is as intolerant as the man he's trying to destroy. Time to turn over the IGB project to someone else so he doesn't damage it further. ?? - Rev Dark - 04-12-2012 Logan wrote. [table] | |
