time to keep an eye on the skies - Rikti warning - Wiregeek - 11-18-2008 http://boards.cityofheroe...ain=12549115#Post12549115 something weird is going on. "No can brain today. Want cheezeburger." From NGE: Nobody Dies, by Gregg Landsman http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5579457/1/NGE_Nobody_Dies - OpMegs - 11-18-2008 Interestingly, the details appear to vary between servers. Very odd. Of course, there's also the phrases "invasion inevitable" and "evacuation details" in there. Oh dear. We've wound up in Decay's timeline. WE DIDN'T STOP SKYNE-er, HRO'DTOHZ IN TIME! GET TO THE BUNKERS! JUDGMENT DAY IS HERE! --- "Oh, silver blade, forged in the depths of the beyond. Heed my summons and purge those who stand in my way. Lay waste." - Ankhani - 11-19-2008 ...Apparently Pinnacle gets to protect the bars. Looks like I may actually register for the CoH Forums now. o.o Hopefully there will be some more info on what to DO soon.... --- The Master said: "It is all in vain! I have never yet seen a man who can perceive his own faults and bring the charge home against himself." >Analects: Book V, Chaper XXVI - Sofaspud - 11-19-2008 ... I is ze confused. Is this a forum game that the community is playing? Is this an in-game event that they're doing in a off-the-wall way? Is this a community thing the devs are giving their blessing to? All of the above? Bueller? --sofaspud --"Listening to your kid is the audio equivalent of a Salvador Dali painting, Spud." --OpMegs - Unicorna - 11-19-2008 Should be interesting to see what unfolds. - Ebony - 11-20-2008 Possibly related to this, Ex Libris made an Admin broadcast last night around 8pm Central, announcing that the Brawler was in Atlas. Atlas filled rather rapidly, leaving us latecomers in Atlas 2, wondering what was going on. According to the Cape, it was an announcement that Issue 13 went active last night. I wonder if this is connected beyond the fact that it was Ex Libris in both situations. Ebony the Black Dragon http://ebony14.livejournal.com "Good night, and may the Good Lord take a Viking to you." - Acyl - 11-20-2008 Only have a sec to post, so I can't search up the official board links right now. But what happened was a guy on Virtue asked for help swarming people under Atlas - for demo recording, because he's working on a comic, yeah? Brawler and Ex Lib obliged him by making an appearance, causing enough folks to drop into Atlas that the crowd reached the game's limit to render individual players. Mission accomplished. No secret agenda, just very nice of 'em. -- Acyl - Bob Schroeck - 11-20-2008 Ah... pity I had to log off right about then, I would have liked to have gotten Evangelia into whatever crowd scene he was setting up... -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - OpMegs - 11-21-2008 Ah, that explains the custom titles. "I showed up for 's comic and all I got was this lousy title." Spotted a couple that night, was wondering where they came from, as it wasn't the name of any dev I'd heard of. --- "Oh, silver blade, forged in the depths of the beyond. Heed my summons and purge those who stand in my way. Lay waste." - Shader - 11-26-2008 Warning Falling Rikti ships... Ok so its a little old, (it happened on the 20th) but it relates to this topic... the video of the event is here: http://boards.cityofheroe...935&page=0&fpart=all&vc=1 and the cattle call for it is here: http://boards.cityofheroe...835&page=0&fpart=all&vc=1 Still, 41 ships in one hour - that's nothing to be scoffed at. And now they are talking about showing the Rikti what the villians are made of. And who said that Virtue is the RP server? - Wiregeek - 11-26-2008 Virtue dropped 41 in one hour 8 ) "No can brain today. Want cheezeburger." From NGE: Nobody Dies, by Gregg Landsman http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5579457/1/NGE_Nobody_Dies - Bob Schroeck - 11-26-2008 I think I saw a video for that event on YouTube from Samuraiko... either there or on his website. 41 ships in 1 hour was what was claimed at the end -- 21 over Talos, 20 over Peregrine. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - Wiregeek - 11-26-2008 Yup! (Samuraiko is a her - check out her youtube of the tutorials she did at Herocon 2008) The Youtube version is lower rez than the one of her actual website. Was quite a rush, I have to admit.
