After Discussion, Terr decided against his toon's participation, alas. ''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.'' -- James Nicoll - Acyl - 05-24-2009 See, here's the thing, though. Superball can best be described as, hm... ...Peter Parker with the paranoia and modus operandi of Bruce Wayne. I suspect he has protocols for this. On the other hand, he also has the luck of Peter Parker, so... -- Acyl - Vyperpunk - 05-24-2009 I'm not sure if I want to volunteer for this or not. - Ankhani - 05-24-2009 Hm. I can't think of any all to prominent Red/Blue swaps. Though a toss up between V-chan, Braende and Lynna could prove amusing. --- The Master said: "It is all in vain! I have never yet seen a man who can perceive his own faults and bring the charge home against himself." >Analects: Book V, Chaper XXVI - ECSNorway - 05-24-2009 You guys scare me sometimes. So who would Eva switch with? ![]() -- Sucrose Octanitrate. Proof positive that with sufficient motivation, you can make anything explode. - Bob Schroeck - 05-25-2009 I await the suggestions with some trepidation... -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - Valles - 05-25-2009 Hmm. Yukiyo? =========== =============================================== "V, did you do something foolish?" "Yes, and it was glorious." - Norgarth - 05-25-2009 And whoever ends up in Eva's body discovers that yes, there is an invisible british penguin wandering around. 8P ___________________________ "I've always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific." - George Carlin - Bob Schroeck - 05-25-2009 ...if they didn't already know it. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - Wiregeek - 05-25-2009 I like Vyper for that. Umpteen eon old half-dead vampire suddenly inhabiting a virile, nubile, hormone-drenched very much alive femme body.. mwuhahah "No can brain today. Want cheezeburger." From NGE: Nobody Dies, by Gregg Landsman http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5579457/1/NGE_Nobody_Dies - Ankhani - 05-25-2009 It's a bastardly idea, and I'm almost ashamed to suggest it. But! What about Pookie and Enynn swapping? That'll cause no end of problems. --- The Master said: "It is all in vain! I have never yet seen a man who can perceive his own faults and bring the charge home against himself." >Analects: Book V, Chaper XXVI - Vyperpunk - 05-25-2009 Quote: Wiredgeek wrote:Oh that could end badly. -bol- - dark seraph - 05-26-2009 Quote: Ankhani wrote: .... that would be entertaing as all hell. - Norgarth - 05-26-2009 Quote: Bob Schroeck wrote:Well, if Eva gets switched with a member of the Infamous (especially someone who isn't mystically inclined) then the odds of them being unaware of Alistair increase significantly. *shrug* ___________________________ "I've always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific." - George Carlin - Sofaspud - 05-26-2009 On the subject of animal companions... I'd just like to point out that the person Rhea gets swapped with will have the interesting experience of realizing first-hand she is batshit insane. 'cause Mr. Whiskers? He's just in her head. So she'll continue happily chattering away to him, no matter who she winds up in. ![]() --sofaspud --"Listening to your kid is the audio equivalent of a Salvador Dali painting, Spud." --OpMegs - Logan Darklighter - 05-29-2009 Would personality swapping even work on someone like Cyberman 8? Because, appearances and behavior aside, the physical structure of his brain is very different from that of a human being. Would anyone switched into him be overwhelmed by sensory overload? What about all his sub processes which he doesn't even think about anymore? Daemons that'll react with the new personality? What if his system sees the whole thing as a massive hacking attempt? What about a Kheldian like Lora'Lai? Even though she's so integrated with her Kheldian side that the resulting personality is seamless, what would happen if you switched personalities? Would it catch both the Human and the Kheldian? Or just the human? Or just the Kheldian? - Acyl - 05-29-2009 Now you've got me thinking. If inhabiting Cyberman's cutting edge high-speed android body would be a headache... In the words of the great philosopher B. A. Baracus: I pity the fool who swaps with Obsolete. -- Acyl - Ankhani - 05-29-2009 "I aint takin no fly power Hannibal!" (I just had to) Obs and C8 would make for an interesting swap. Though the question is, would the tech or the android brain win out? --- The Master said: "It is all in vain! I have never yet seen a man who can perceive his own faults and bring the charge home against himself." >Analects: Book V, Chaper XXVI - Logan Darklighter - 05-29-2009 Here's an even more interesting idea you've sparked. What if being in C8's brain makes Obsolete... SANE? And what if being in Obs body threatens Pete with insanity? |
