New song - Ebony - 08-21-2007 "You Gotta Move" by Aerosmith You gotta move You gotta move You gotta move You gotta move Oh... when my God gets ready You gotta move You gotta move You may be high You may be low You may be rich... yeah You may be poor But when the Lord get ready You gotta move You gotta move You may be old You may be young You may be weak Maybe high-strung But when the good Lord get ready You gotta move You gotta move You see dat woman Who walks the street You see dat cop man Who walks his beat But when the Lord gets ready They gotta move They gotta move Yeah I was hangin' with the Devil when we made a pact I'm drinkin' welfare whiskey smokin' food stamp crack It was one part sour... two parts sweet Three parts strong... and four parts weak I would rather sit on a pumpkin And have it all to myself Then to be crowded on a velvet cushion You may be blind You can not see You may be deaf It's all meant to be Now when the Lord get ready You gotta move You gotta move You gotta move You gotta move You gotta move You got to know When the good get ready You gotta move Huh huh... you gotta You gotta move... ---------------------- I think this would be a good gate song, but I can also see it as a "Remove Paralysis" trigger. Any kind of paralysis - magical, chemical, or even psychological - will be negated and replaced with the energy and will to get up and move. Thirty seconds of this song might be a good magegift substitute for caffeine (although "Good Morning" from "Singin' in the Rain" might be more effective).Ebony the Black Dragon Senior Editor, Living Room Games http://www.lrgames.com Ebony the Black Dragon http://ebony14.livejournal.com "Good night, and may the Good Lord take a Viking to you." Re: New song - Shepherd - 08-21-2007 Given the lyrics and religious theme the song could also kill somebody, thereby moving them to the afterlife. Given the repeated references to God, the Lord, and the Devil I don't think that Doug would use the song anyway. ---------------------------------------------------- "Anyone can be a winner if their definition of victory is flexible enough." - The DM of the Rings XXXV Re: New song - Bob Schroeck - 01-17-2008 Shepherd is right in that regard -- Doug would be very very wary of the possibility of invoking a Power with that song. Although -- as folks may have guessed -- he'll be a little less paranoid about that after DW5, he still doesn't want unwelcome divine/infernal attention. Especially with the bit about making a pact with the Devil in there... -- Bob --------- I intend to be a freak for the rest of my life, and I shall baffle you with cabbages and rhinoceroses in the kitchen and incessant quotations from Now We Are Six through the mouthpiece of Lord Snooty's giant poisoned electric head. So theeeeeere.... re: New song. - itsune9tl - 01-18-2008 Sounds more like theme music to a scene in the current story. |
