The World is Stone - Hollow49 - 08-05-2006 I was listening to this the other day and wondered what Doug would make of it - I imagine that everything in the area of effect turns to stone (immobile but pretty much invulnerable) for the duration. Doug alone remains unchanged, but there could be all kinds of side-effects, from feelings of cold/pain every time he touches something petrified, to becoming completely lost and unable to leave the area of effect ("Can't find my way home") to make things ... interesting. Quote: Re: The World is Stone - Bluemage - 08-05-2006 Cold, and, not pain, but a deep depression- not apathy, but strong, enduring melancholy. Loneliness, sadness, the feeling that the world as Doug loved it has been ruined (see the last verse)- everything is dimmer and darker, everything is "hard on the soul", for as long as the song lasts. Otherwise, I agree totally. Petrification within AOE and chill whenever a petrified object is touched covers it nicely- I just think that the side effect could be so much *deeper* than mere pain.Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines...
