It occurred to me that if Doug hadn't used 'With A Little Help From My Friends to summon the (simulated) Warriors to him, then this one might have had a similar effect. For a nasty twist, the last verse might result in him getting home dimension-wise - but only if he dies in battle while singing it.

That scene of Doug summoning his team mates got me thinking..what if he needed to raise a combat force?
"Onward Christian Soldiers"..would he get an army of Crusaders?
"Battle Hymm of the Republic" ...the Army of the Potomac?
"Gary Owen"..I'm not sure whether everyone around would get the effects of alcohol poisoning or would he get the 7th Cavalry Regiment..if so in what incarnation?
He could get anything from a horse regiment to an airmobile battalion or an tank battalion..or heaven help him..maybe even a BOLO!
It would be wild if he played the opening song of GI Joe...the appearance of the Special Mission Force would freak out anybody.

Which version? The movie version has more "oomph" in my opinion. I did notice Ed had a scene where he had a GI Joe simulation in one of his fics.

...Y'know, this was a lot better with the music. Actually, the music would be a lot better without the lyrics.
But then, the G.I. Joe cartoon wasn't much, especially compared to Larry Hama's comic version. (Oddly, though, I preferred cartoon Transformers to their comic...)

Just to be clear, I wasn't talking about a minion, I was talking about a minyan. Basically, a minyan is a quorum of ten adult Jewish men (or, if you're in a more liberal sect, women too) which is necessary for formal services. As the old saying goes, ten cobblers can make up a minyan, but nine rabbis can't. In a more general sense, it takes ten people to comprise a community, or to divide private and public life.
I was being facetious though. Since Doug can only create simulacra, it wouldn't count anyway.
Anyway Offsides, so what's your idea? You can't just leave us hanging.

All I will say for now is that it's prtially related to an Omake I wrote some time ago that will not made public until some future chapter of Doug's travels has been revealed (because it has spoilers aplenty, and besides the story may not really go that way given that it's not been written yet). All I will say is that it's not related to DW V...Bob can/will reveal more when he wants to, but I'm pretty sure he don't yet
