A Mecha for Doug - ordnance11 - 03-26-2004 I was looking for a song in which Doug can summon a mecha if he has to. The opening song of The Big O by Nagai Rui springs to mind. Light a light in a lonely heart Dying me with words Ye god! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Cast in the name of God Ye not the guilty We have came to team! Big-O! Swear an eternal oath to this city that lost all of its past. Light a light in a lonely heart Dying me with words Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! -O! -O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! -O! -O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Big-O! Now I grant you the song is ripoff of the "Flash Gordon" song by Queen, but it's not bad. Having an EVA sized mecha to pilot is nothing to sneeze at either. __________________ Into terror!, Into valour! Charge ahead! No! If he does, use the season 2 version...the final form can probably knock the orbiting angel into the moon. __________________ Into terror!, Into valour! Charge ahead! No! I use that theme song to torture my roommates when they anger me. -={(Astynax)}=- "I like the show, but ye flippin gods that song violates the Geneva Convention" Re: A Mecha for Doug - Bob Schroeck - 03-27-2004 Quote:Okay, let me rephrase that. He cannot have this song until after DW6. -- Bob --------- There's no wrong way to eat a Rhesus. Robot World - cpt kangarooski - 03-27-2004 Well, I still think that a step to a world where giant robots and mecha were commonplace would be a great idea, and then songs like these would fit in nicely. I think it'd work best if it was somewhat retro: Giant Robo, Mazinger Z, Getter Robo, Gekiganger, Tetsujin 28, etc. would work well. Macross or Gundam would not. And of course while all of those series have great villains, I'd like to see the monsters from Chojin Sentai Jetman, which were just hilariously awful in that they were typically everyday items like a bus, a traffic light, cup ramen, etc. if not worse, like the stage light combined with an armadillo. I swear I am not making this up. Re: Robot World - Bob Schroeck - 03-30-2004 Maybe I'll send him to "Johnny Sokko and his Giant Robot". It's even got a UN agency he can fit into. -- Bob --------- There's no wrong way to eat a Rhesus. |
